More than 50 years later, it is time for the American people to lay down the same gauntlet, and hold our elected leaders to a higher standard when it comes to preparing America to forge a new path forward through innovation.

Federal investment in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Education, materials science, and basic research are on track to reach historic lows due to steady decline.
